Marathon Live Celebrates 15-Year Anniversary of Marathon Music Works + Announces Strategic Content Partnership with AEG Presents

(Nashville, TN) Marathon Music Works, the flagship venue of the Nashville-based facility operator and promoter Marathon Live’s portfolio, is celebrating its 15-year anniversary this fall. Alongside this milestone, Marathon Live is pleased to announce its strategic content partnership with AEG Presents across its network of facilities including The Truman (Kansas City), The Hawthorn (St. Louis), The Hall (Little Rock), Marathon Music Works (Nashville), The Signal (Chattanooga) and FIVE (Jacksonville).

Since 2011, Marathon Music Works – a turn-of-the-century 35,000 square foot auto factory turned Nashville’s most unique concert & event venue – has been bringing memorable shows to the Southeast, including Post Malone, Cage The Elephant, Future, The Weeknd, The 1975, Taking Back Sunday, Evanescence, Mac Miller, J. Cole, Run The Jewels, Illenium, Above & Beyond, Falling In Reverse, Social Distortion, Maggie Rogers, Billy Strings, Morgan Wallen, Violent Femmes and hundreds more. Fans are invited to join the celebration this fall featuring performances by Chelsea Wolfe (October 14), DJ Shadow (October 23), Thundercat (October 31), JoJo (November 21) and many more.

Mark Dinerstein, CEO of Marathon Live stated,  “Marathon Music Works has been part of the Nashville landscape for 15 years, presenting some of the city’s most notable live events and we are proud to carry this legacy into the next 15 years. We are excited to further our content relationship with AEG Presents and bring an even higher caliber live experiences to our communities. Our commitment of providing a best-in-class experience to our artists, private event clients and loyal patrons drove us to make these significant upgrades at this milestone.”

“We’re thrilled to continue building our relationship with Mark and the entire team at Marathon Live,” said Brent Fedrizzi, President of North American Regional Offices at AEG Presents. “I’ve known Mark for many years and have always had tremendous respect for what he’s built. Our collaboration began with the Truman, and I’m excited to see where we can take this partnership in the years ahead.”

As it moves into its next era, Marathon Music Works has recently installed the L-Acoustics K2 sound system; making it one of the smallest venues in North America to house the renowned technology enjoyed by arena and stadium artists around the world. Marathon Live’s significant investment lands the same year L-Acoustics opens its American headquarters at Nashville Yards — deepening the company's roots in the city that sets the standard for live music.

Further enhancing the artist and patron experience, all of the Marathon Live facilities recently adopted AXS ticketing, launched SMS text clubs for direct communications with customers and are upgrading its websites in the coming weeks.

L-Acoustics CEO Bryan Bradley added, "Nashville is where we chose to open our Americas headquarters earlier this year, and venues like Marathon Music Works are exactly why.  This is a rare 1,800-capacity room that books across country, hip-hop, indie, and electronic, and keeps its doors open to audiences of all ages. Seeing a venue built to last choose L-Acoustics, in a city that keeps setting the bar higher for live music, is exactly the kind of moment we came here to be part of.”
