Marathon Live welcomes Tammy Hurt to its Board of Directors

September 17, 2025 (Nashville, TN) Music executive Tammy Hurt has joined the Marathon Live Board of Directors.She brings 25+ years of entertainment business experience to the growing Nashville based full-service facility promoter and operating company.
A powerhouse in the entertainment industry, Hurt blends creative vision with exceptional business acumen. As a seasoned executive, entrepreneur, and drummer, she has built a career at the intersection of music, media, and brand strategy, driving transformative growth, forging high-impact partnerships, and delivering world-class experiences for global audiences. With a track record spanning leadership roles, award-nominated productions, and successful entrepreneurial ventures, Tammy is recognized for her ability to unite artistry and commerce, navigate complex industry landscapes, and inspire teams to achieve extraordinary results.
Outside of her Board of Directors role, Tammy Hurt is Head of Music Strategy for Star Forest, an animated virtual band distributed by Sony Music Entertainment UK’s Magic Star division, where she leads the brand’s growth across music, animation, gaming, and live experiences. A 20-year Recording Academy member and former Chair of its Board of Trustees (2021–2025), Hurt helped drive landmark achievements in media rights, membership diversity, global expansion, and pro-creator advocacy. Hurt is also the founder of Placement Music (a boutique entertainment firm specializing in custom music, licensing and scoring), Outsource Events (a high-profile corporate event management company), and co-founder of Georgia Music Partners (a public\private partnership advancing the music economy in Georgia).

This announcement comes just a few weeks after Marathon Live was purchased by Mark Dinerstein Consulting in partnership with JPB Partners. The company has signaled its growth by announcing its intention to purchase additional live entertainment venues, build new facilities, and offer management services to facilities nationwide.
